ReelFact is an AI-assisted video fact-checking tool. This page explains how the current free version
handles video links, temporary files, analytics and AI outputs.
When you submit a video URL, ReelFact processes that URL and temporarily downloads the video for
analysis. The app may also process basic browser analytics such as page views, referrers and
approximate location through Vercel Analytics.
Downloaded videos are stored temporarily during processing and are deleted after the analysis
finishes or fails. Do not submit private, confidential, copyrighted, or sensitive videos unless
you have the right to process them.
ReelFact uses AI models to extract claims and produce explanations. AI can make mistakes,
misunderstand context, miss satire, or use incomplete sources. Results should be treated as an
assistant's analysis, not as final proof.
Source-backed results are only as reliable as the sources available at the time of checking.
Users should open the reference links, compare dates, and verify important claims independently
before making decisions.
Login and paid plans are planned for future phases. When enabled, the privacy policy will be
updated with details about account data, payment providers and subscription records.
